I arrived in Ravengro on the day of Professor Lorrimor’s funeral. I was well met by fellow bereaved adventurers whose lives had been touched by the good professor. I had a feeling that the shrewd approach would be to remain tight lipped about my past and current mission. After laying the professor’s remains to rest I had the pleasure to meet the high council of Ravengro. The people here tend to make their caution far too obvious. I can’t help but feel there are deep mysteries to be unraveled here. Since the three adventurers were all called for the reading of the will as well, it seemed prudent to follow their lead. His will indicated that we four are to perform some final favors for our dear friend. First, we must spend a month in Ravengro and serve as protectors to his daughter, Kendra. Once a month has passed we must bring the professor’s most treasured tomes to the university of Lepidstadt. Thereupon we collect our bequeathals of one hundred platinum coins each. I feel that losing access to these materials may pay dividends in the future. I am confident that I may gain access to the knowledge within on a later visit to the university. My main focus is on exploring the depths of all abandoned structures in the area. Should fate smile upon me I will find information or relics more valuable to Osirion. After researching with these three adventurers for a week we have learned much about the history of Harrowstone Prison. Destroyed by a fire in 4661, this prison housed some truly evil creatures. The evaluation I have come to is that the residents of Ravengro consider the prison to be haunted. This knowledge along with hints of the dangerous cult known as the Whispering Way being involved have left me certain that a full expedition of Harrowstone prison is the next logical step. We were lead by the professor’s journal to a weapons store room hidden in a small crypt. He indicated that these weapons were kept there by the temple of Pharasma. The people at the temple were the least forthcoming with information so I consider their unwilling donation of these potent tools their fair share of contribution. We know of five truly malicious prisoners that died in the fire. Father Charlatan, The Lopper, The Mosswater Marauder, The Piper of Illmarsh, and The Splatter Man. Should the Whispering Way actually be involved, it may be in relation to one of these maniacs. We are preparing to begin our exploration of the prison. The least of my ambitions is to deprive the Whispering Way of some crucial knowledge and thwart their efforts to bring more death and corruption into the world. The greatest ambition I could have is to procure a powerful artifact or a wealth of ancient knowledge for my homeland.
